...how lovely it is that DS is excited about Christmas for the first time this year.
Excited? excited? Ds has not stopped talking at me since 6.30 this morning. Mostly about Christmas but also about snow and gingerbread houses and how long exactly is 5 minutes because he's sure it's that long now since he last opened his mouth.
If it's so fecking lovely how come DH is legging it to work at 7.30 and not coming back till 6.30 all of a sudden.
Bah humbug.

YANBU... My dds are ridiculously overexcited (they are 8 and 3) and I want to shut them in the garden so I can tidy up even a little bit!

MeltedTreeChocolates · 22/12/2009 12:35

aww Bless him. (your DS that is)

peppapighastakenovermylife · 22/12/2009 12:43

YANBU! My DS (3.5) has not stopped talking - its constant, high pitched and includes a million and one questions which you have to answer just right or he shouts them over and over and over...

ARGHHHH

YABU.

My 18 month DD is at the stage of saying "nooooooo" to everything (accompanied by much shaking of the head).

Yours is far preferable and much cuter

nickytwotimes · 22/12/2009 15:29

Oh, I feel your pain.
It is very sweet, but rather wearing...

snowedinwithJjandtheBean · 22/12/2009 15:40

brandybutterfly · 22/12/2009 15:42

snowedin why do they learn "nooooooooooooo" before "yesssssssssss"?!

reservejudgement · 22/12/2009 16:34

They leave saying "yes" to everything till they're 16!

pantshavenames · 22/12/2009 18:52

I have a slight case of the yo ho ho's this evening after my grumps of the morning. While reading Slinky Malinki's Christmas Cracker (again), DD (21 months) said a new word.... bauble (sp?)

The large glass of wine helped too.

oldernowiser · 22/12/2009 22:29

DH legging it to work at 7.30 am !!! and comming back at 6.30pm!!! This is a normal (short) day FFS. If you don't have to get up till 6.30am, and then DH is home early evening, then you are being totally unreasonable, and very, very, lazy and should get a job.
