As an aside (I am looking for sympathy) our boiler stopped working on Sunday. We were ok with a couple of electrical heaters and hot water bottles etc. The plumber was coming last night but all our electrical power went so we had no heat or light (thank goodness for tea-lights).
It snowed quite heavily yesterday evening so all the roads near us were very icy and lots of cars were abandoned. The electrician who was coming to fix our problem got stuck on a road and my dh went to help. As they were attempting to get the van out (kindly helped by people who lived in the road), someone man in a 4x4 drove up and asked if they would like him to tow the van for a price. The electrician didn't take him up on the offer so the driver drove up onto the pavement to find another victim. Anyway AIBU to think that this is incredibly mean spirited, trying to make money out of the misfortune of others?
