Thank goodness my dd 2.9 is too young at the moment, but i am really not looking forward to the whole 'party thing'. Some of the people on here have displayed 'bridezilla' type attitudes with regards to their dc not being invited to a party, oh woe. Someone even got personal towards a boy, describing him as being alpha male and really making a dig at him, he is a child fgs. It really makes me angry.

When the time comes, i will just have a small party (6-7) with just my dd friends that she plays with the most or close friends with, not the whole class, why, if your dc does not know them very well or does not particularly like them! If dd is invited to a party of a child she is not friends with i will invite that child once to show appreciation.

It seems as though the mums are more distressed about their dc not being invited than the dc is

Umm...isn't this exact topic being discussed here?

GypsyMoth · 21/12/2009 11:53

god,had that thread hidden, now another one crops up!!

pigletmania · 21/12/2009 11:55

Not really, that topic is about parties and sleepovers and being invited to one and not the other not about the general kids party thing as i think that someone on that thread pointed out. So i thought about opening a new thread about it.
