that ds's nan bought for him dispite not seeing him for 13 months. T-shirt says 'If mum says no ask nan'? Generally not sure if I'm being picky cos of the situation or it is a bit off

ooooooooo - well usually I'd say YABU.

However, knowing more about the circumstances as I do I'd say YAdefinitelyNBU

AND - I'm totally shite - I forgot to wish you a happy birthday on Sunday

shelleylou · 18/12/2009 20:57

Thats good to know its not just me that thinks its a bit off lol.

I got extremely pissed on Friday night - DH had to shove me into a taxi to send me home(after I'd apparently - although I have no recollection of it - stormed out of the pub 3 times and refused to get in about 4 taxis he ordered before he finally got me into one and gave the driver the money)

shelleylou · 18/12/2009 21:15

hehe, that sounds like what i'd do if i didnt want to go home, im off out tomorrow night too. 3rd night out (unrelated to db) since mid/late october

I should have been out tonight, but I'm too much of a wimp and didn't fancy town with a women I barely know from the school gates...........and group of her friends (none of who I know) in the freezing cold.

So Nick's out and I'm home

shelleylou · 18/12/2009 21:23

thought you were surposed to be out tonight. I've got to work out wat to wear, always wear open toed shoes out but dont fancy frost bite lol.

enjoy the warmth

I am - actually it's a bit cold in here despite the heating having been on for hours......so I'm rather glad I'm not out there

ocdgirl · 18/12/2009 21:26

YADNBU pil's bought my ds one about 4 sizes to big saying "that's it i'm calling grandad" they haven't seen him since may and they only live 15 mins away. i was not impressed and my ds won't end up wearing it

shelleylou · 18/12/2009 21:31

i havent got heating on atm but had it on a lot today, went out earlier and was wrapped up so tomorrow will be fun. Odd day to go out any tbh.

thanks ocdgirl. Its purely that she doesnt bother with ds that its annoyed me, only recently got in contact as it was ds birthday last month

get a t shirt printed

"I can wind my nan round any finger"

Plumm · 18/12/2009 21:34

YANBU, just because I hate t-shirts that suggest kids are monsters/terrors/don't do what they're told.

Buddleja · 18/12/2009 21:36

YANBU

However the silver lining is if she doesn't see him he never has to wear it or even keep it

shelleylou · 18/12/2009 21:37

ivy would be tempting to have a midle finger on the tshirt but sooooooooo unappropriate for ds. Have thought of getting one printed that says, "nan will never get the welcome grandma does" lol

OP posts:
shelleylou · 18/12/2009 21:37

i thought id get a response like that plumm.

buddleja, im going to give it away. Ds is sooooooo a grandmas boy

OP posts:
Alambil · 18/12/2009 21:45

I was going to get that one... and the one that says "That's it! I'm off to grandma's" but he grew too big...

shelleylou · 18/12/2009 21:59

ds has told me before that he's going grandmas as ive told him off lol he was about 2. lol. It may sound double standards but i wouldnt mind mum getting him one like that. As it is how ds is with his grandma.
