DS#1 was perfect son all day. Very loving, very agreable. Even turned away a friend so we could go to town together. He came with me to pick DD up from school and then agreed to play Charades with her I just played Chess with DD. And now DS~1 is playing Guess Who with DS#2.

Fire burning in the grate, everyone rosy-cheeked and lovely.

Not.

DS#1 thumped DD and accused her of cheating.
DD got so fed up with me winning she brushed all the pieces of the board.
And DS~1 would much rather be watching James May than playing Guess Who and doesn't shrink from expressing that.

At least there is no blood.

Yet.

The thing that frustrates me is that it all starts out so well. They want to be the Waltons but it just doesn't work.

God give me strength!

Is there nothing they can't pick a fight over? Now we're rowing over who gets to turn the bloody christmas tree lights on

Oh and the fact that DD keeps going round turning them all off again because of global warming. I applaud her green concern, if not her lack of diplomacy
