DH rarely goes out and is out tonight with friends from work. I suspect IABU but he's normally so in touch and I've not heard a beep from him. I don't want up to date reports but a short text saying he misses/loves me would be nice...I've drunk a bottle of mulled wine and eaten a pack of rich tea biscuits and am clearly beyond needy!

gone are the days we would call and text each other several times a day I guess...boo hoo (back to the wine)

Get a life

MrsJamesMartin · 16/12/2009 22:52

You know that YABU really. Let him have his time. He'll love you all the more for it! ( its the mulled wine talking anyway!)

LaurieFairyonthetreeeatscake · 16/12/2009 22:53

yabu

you should have bought yourself some decent snacks - rich tea fucking biscuits ?!?

stop being pathetic as well

and go out once in a while and have a good enough time that it doesn't occur to you to send him soppy texts

fattybumbum · 16/12/2009 22:53

Mmmn mulled wine and biscuits. A winning combo. Any left? ( desperate greedy face emoticon)

MrsTittleMouse · 16/12/2009 22:55

I'm waiting up too. He'd better come back and tell me how much he loves me. He makes a very cute affectionate drunk.

GirlWiththeMouseyHair · 16/12/2009 22:56

oh bugger, thought you'd all say that! damn...fattybumbum there are 5 biscuits left, i might be sick if I have anymore, you are welcome to virtual versions forthwith

laurie, bit strong love....it's normally me out! and i'm sure DH is too busy with PS3 to worry about getting soppy texts from me when roles are reversed

hmmmm, might raid the whisky to prevent onslaught of inate soppiness

mrstittlemouse you're a better woman than me, I'm checking in to see if I'm still a raging anti-feminist then off to bed...he's since called to tell me he's underneath great malborough street doing tequila shots, the mind boggles!

damn though Laurie, you're right - rich bloody tea? I do love them but I would have loved double choc better...sadly DS asleep prevents me running round to the local shop...back to the rich tea

Blimey stay off the whiskey! Stay awake and sober for his return, he may be feeling affectionate?

LaurieFairyonthetreeeatscake · 16/12/2009 23:00

I meant it slightly tongue in cheek

get some ben and jerry's phish food - really yummy with mulled wine

and open a second bottle then you can both be all affectionate and cutesy when he comes home

GirlWiththeMouseyHair · 16/12/2009 23:01

darn - DS waking with his horrid cough, might be sobering up and smelling coffee time

I just had a text message and got really excited - but it was from my Mum.

I'm not really a good woman. This is probably DH's third boozy night out this year. So he deserves it. And he is very cute.

No mulled wine for me as I'm breastfeeding. A teeny tiny drop of Baileys wouldn't hurt though, would it?

GirlWiththeMouseyHair · 16/12/2009 23:10

not at all - in fact I think I started back on the wine when DS was 6weeks old LAST christmas and I was BF...drink while doing bedtime feed, no way alcohol goes through into your breastmilk that quick and at that point it would then abe 6-7hours til next feed so I figured it was fine

I got one too, from my best friend (after DH) so nearly as good....am feeling slightly sway-y so must drink water and go to bed, early waking DS + mulled wine + work in the morning + drunk husband crawling and snoring into bed at god knows what hour = prob not good!

Hurray, he's back and he's soppy.

displayuntiltwelfthnight · 16/12/2009 23:57

at not being able to have time apart without constant communication

GirlWiththeMouseyHair · 17/12/2009 07:46

well done mrstittlemouse...mine fell asleep on a bus and ended up outside croydon, I woke at 5am to find him passed out in front of friends, dragged him to bedroom upon which point he tried to get amorous then turned over and snored instantly!

displayuntiltwelfth - pinch of salt love

I'd be more concerned about the fact that you were in sole charge of your DS and drank a whole bottle of mulled wine (apologies if I've got the wrong end of the stick here) ...
