No that's fine. Execute away. While you are dealing out summary death-sentences, please can you hand one out to anyone playing Slade? Surely that's a far worse crime. You can take as long as you like - make it a long slow and painful death - because it's a form of natural justice.

ThumbleBells · 15/12/2009 18:43

oh QC - you boring fart!

I am distraught that in the move from the UK to Australia I seem to have lost my naff lovely record (yes I am that old) of Christmas hits, and can't play Slade or any of the other naff traditional Christmas crap songs that we all know and cringe at love. I am stuck with Christmas Carols instead, which, whilst lovely, aren't quite as much fun.

BrianGiggs · 15/12/2009 18:43

do they not have slade in oz?

Don't seem to - the radio stations here don't really get into playing all the old Christmas songs either, not like in the UK. You do hear some renditions of some of them in shops, but quite often modern cover versions by bored RnB "artists" which are in no way as evocative of the drunken Christmas parties of my youth.

Oooh, I miss them now....

poinsettydawg · 15/12/2009 18:58

I do not like crimbo but its use has been in decline ever since they axes Brookside, aka Broochie

MaggieAnFiaRua · 15/12/2009 21:36

And lol! Can lol users go too, please?

Actually, possibly I am approaching this thread too enthusiastically. Maybe Christmas isn't really about violently executing those who mildly annoy one?

MaggieAnFiaRua · 15/12/2009 21:45

YABU

I haven't noticed a trend for saying things are "immense" all the time and that is getting annoying.

I was wished an "immense christmas" today

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 15/12/2009 22:14

AF makes me feel like my arse is falling off, but that's not funny.

ROFL is good. (my sister says roffle )

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 15/12/2009 22:14

poinsettydawg · 15/12/2009 22:17

poinsettydawg · 15/12/2009 22:46

yes it is.

MadameDuBain · 15/12/2009 22:51

Rofl at this thread, especially "immense christmas" PMSL.

I think I might be known to say Crimbo occasionally but only to annoy. (Tis definitely best with a Brookie accent) And also, erm possibly, "Crimbalo" (pronounced like bungalow). But in an ironic way so it's OK

I use xmas all the time, love it. How do you feel about "winterval", oh executioners?

Kaloki · 15/12/2009 22:56

"lol WRONG thread
me whittering abotu eye make up"

I'm glad about that, I reread that quite a few times wondering if I'd missed something!

poinsettydawg · 15/12/2009 22:59
