people set up accounts for their babies and then post messages as if the baby is typing them !!!

Good god, glad none of my friends have done that yet. Think I would be hitting the delete friend button.

Bigbadmummy · 15/12/2009 14:31

Our cat has their own profile.

A cuddly animal that comes on holiday with us, and also gets lent to other people to take on theirs. THey then post photos and updates on what he has been up to.

I will get my coat.....

i would love to hit the delete button, but wouldn't want to hurt her feelings as she is quite sensative, plus our mutual friends would never forgive me as they would have to listen to her rant on about how unfair life is and ahe has been victimised again !!

mmmm cuddly cat that goes on holiday eh lol but i get the feeling that it's more of a jokey silly thing you are doing not totally seriously thinking the cat is looking forward to it's travels which is way more fun than reading how little billy is sooooo looking forward to going to see santa when little billy can't even talk ffs

thats getting a bit much, unless they're family or something when you might be interested.

but -you can select to not read peoples posts, without deleting them as a friend. just select the 'hide' button next to the status on the newsfeed (think you have to hover over the status to see it), your friend won't know you've done this, and you can select not to see any more of their statuses / photos etc

It's wrong. Downright wrong so YANBU. Babies should be kept away from the madness of the internet for as long as possible. Much like they should be kept away from the temptation that is chocolate.

It is worse when people's animals communicate with the world via FB, though.

(Not that anyone in this house has a Dogbook account of course )

ocdgirl · 15/12/2009 20:00

see when people add their pets that just makes me laugh as it's so silly it's funny but people adding babies and being quite serious about it just seems cringe worthy to me iyswim
