...to think that exposing your backside in public is unnecessary?

There is a woman who gets the same bus as me every morning, with her (approx) 6 year old daughter. Said woman has a habit of wearing her jeans or trousers so low-slung at the back that at least half of her backside is visible every day. Neither her jacket nor her top is long enough to cover her bare arse, and I'm really NOT talking just a patch of skin and the top of the crack here, I mean half a cheek on each side and a chasm. Why? And why doesn't she feel the cold and pull her bloody trousers up?

NB Daughter is well dressed and fully covered, so this is not an observation on parenting...just fashion sense!

It depends on whether you are a baboon or not

displayuntiltwelfthnight · 13/12/2009 22:57

yanbu - next time could you helpfully tip her off that her label is showing and reaching round for it she might realise quite how much of her backside is hanging out?

scottishmummy · 13/12/2009 22:59

i suggest you slap her arse and call her sally.see how she reacts

secretgardin · 13/12/2009 23:00

are they hipsters? or maybe she just has an extrodinary large arse in too small jeans? i wouldn't know about fashion sense as the last time i was interested, roll up neon socks where still in fashion... half mooning in this weather is very, very brave though

sweetnitanitro · 13/12/2009 23:03

Drop an ice cube down there, I bet she'll start pulling her trousers up then.

scottishmummy · 13/12/2009 23:05

do you have oxter high granny pants?is that the real issue

secretgardin · 13/12/2009 23:05

or stick in a daisy

MaryNeedsAFeckingDonkey · 13/12/2009 23:12

Like the suggestions for things to drop in! Not sure I'm that brave! LOL.

Am 8 months pg scottishmummy...my pants are visible to no-one, trust me!!

And her arse is really quite petite...maybe that's why she thinks it's OK to hang it out in full view.

secretgardin · 13/12/2009 23:18

i miss the big flowery old pants from when i was pregnant, they were soooo comfy and dh was permanently like a deer in headlights at bedtime...might have to say YABU now. if i was small and petite, i would let it all hang out as well

CardyMow · 13/12/2009 23:29

Haha lol there's a woman who gets on my bus like that. My 11yo DD put a stop to it though (she's asd...) by saying, in the very loud, non-tactful way that only asd kids seem to manage beyong age 7 " mum, why has that lady got her bum out I thought the policeman could arrest you for that, isn't it called indecent explosure(sic)" . Since then said woman hasn't flashed her vile a**e or her thong on the bus....

displayuntiltwelfthnight · 13/12/2009 23:30

oohsecretgardin those big pants that came up to your neck when early in pregnancy but by the end were below your navel....could do with some of those on this chilly night!

MaryNeedsAFeckingDonkey · 13/12/2009 23:33

Maybe I should buy her a pair of those pants you had displayuntiltwelfthnight - and hand them to her while wishing her "merry xmas"!

lol
why not! The worst thing anyone could say about you is that you are a generous stranger to hand out gifts on the bus!
