My neighbours either to the side of me or above and to the side (we live in flats) are hammering on my wall AT 8:50pm ffs. It's so loud I thought someone was in my flat before and went looking around with fear. It's so scary living without another adult Every little noise makes me want to cry with fear!

YANBU!

My silly neighbour scared the shit out of me the other week. 10pm, hammering on my front door. I live alone with my kids and was absolutely petrified. They hammered 3 more times before I rang my mum in tears petrified of opening the door (they werent just knocking, they were hammering)

When I did open the door there was no one there. I rang a friends husband who came round and searched my garden, stayed for a cuppa and calmed me down. I was so scared going to bed.

The next morning the neighbour hammered on the door at 8am when we were just leaving for work/nursery with a parcel that had been delivered next door. I was rather rude to him, saying that he had scared the shite out of me hammering on my door at 10pm at night and I'd had my friend over to check everything was ok - and he shrugged! To be fair he is mostly deaf, but still 10pm?

sorry, turned into my rant there - but YANBU!

Do you think maybe they're hammering a nail in to put a picture up or something?!

8.50pm is hardly that late to be doing something like this!

If it is a regular occurence at properly unsociable times then I would say something. Otherwise I am sorry but YABU and this is not an unreasonable time to be making a bit of noise. bearing in mind that you will always hear some noise from your neighbours in flats
