To think that Cheryl Cole should present Cheryl Cole's night in and NOtT Holly Willoughby?

I'm sorry if someone has already covered this. Can't be bothered to do my research.

Last night I saw the new Cheryl Cole show- Cheryl's night in before the X factor.

the formatt has the potential to be ok with lots of music BUT why was Holly willoughby acting as presenter and not Cheryl?

Cheryl is enough of a star to carry the show on her own back surely? It was more like teh Holly Willoughby show with Cheryl acting as a guset.

I think that it revealed that although Cheryl is very popular she dosn't have the 'personality' to hold her own talk show. She is lovely but holly was definately in a different league with her sparky, bubbly personality. Cheryl is too deadpan.

Sorry for the low -brow banality of this thread btw!

She would have had to blink and talk at the same time. It would have been carnage.

TheCrackFox · 13/12/2009 14:42

You are correct, she doesn't have a personality.

She looks lovely but there is nothing behind the eyes.

poshsinglemum · 13/12/2009 14:42

Ok- so Cheryl is too thick!
Can I sense a Cheryl backlash? Overexposure mabe?

To be honest, I went off her after she was found guilty of assaulting that toilet attendant...

Eve4Walle · 13/12/2009 15:49

Why does Cheryl need a programme of her own anyway. Isn't she happy with ousting Dannii in the style stakes every week and acting like she's Simon Cowell's muse?

She should just fark right off. Bored now!

poshsinglemum · 13/12/2009 16:19

I used to likeher- before her new show. I have gone off her. She was trying and failing to be funny. Meh!

"She isn't articulate, she isn't amusing, she isn't quick thinking"

Yup, totally it, unfortunately. No spark. (Unlike certain other members of GA who are ALL of the above, sighhhhh....)

Her big brown eyes are flat and dead. She is like one of the Autons from Doctor Who. She couldn't have carried that show on her own.

noddyholder · 13/12/2009 16:37

She is dull as dishwater never has anything much to say

TheCrackFox · 13/12/2009 16:41

She is like a Christmas tree - lovely to look at but no real purpose and after 3 weeks you are glad to put it away for another year.

I don't acceptthe premis of the question.

Why can't they both just fuck off.

MamaLazarou · 13/12/2009 17:56

I can't bear to watch anything with Holly Willoughby on it - I automatically switch channels the minute her strange face appears. Cheryl may not be brain of Britain, but at least she is nice to look at.

GroundHoHoHogs · 13/12/2009 18:28

If she can't sing her own song on XF without miming, why on earth would anyone expect her to hose her own programme?

LOVING the Christmas Tree Analogy, that's absolutely bang on.

PirateCatintheXmasHat · 13/12/2009 18:31

i was embarrassed watching her sing with the peas bloke.

corpselike.

yummyyummyyummy · 13/12/2009 18:32

She's as thick as 2 short planks. And why people think she is nice is beyond me.She's a racist thug.People have very short memories

BurningBuntingFlipFlop · 13/12/2009 18:45

Genuine question yummyyummyyummy, do you think a racist person marry a black man?

StealthPolarBear · 13/12/2009 18:48

I always agree with UQD on CC threads Not heard of this show, but that's beyond ridiculous.

BurningBuntingFlipFlop · 13/12/2009 18:53

would marry. duh.

UnquietDad · 13/12/2009 19:20

Bunting - he had gay rumours. She had racist allegations. Months later, they married. Coincidence or clever PR??

UnquietDad · 13/12/2009 19:22

I'm looking forward to "Sarah Harding's Night In", which she will host herself with verve and self-deprecating humour and aplomb

poinsettydawg · 13/12/2009 19:28

Am I being Unreasonable to think they should axe it now

girlsyearapart · 13/12/2009 19:35

OP- that was exactly what we said when we turned it on!
