To want to punch Chris Jarvis in the face every time i see him on Cbeebies?

I have been tortured with Cbeebies for 8 years now because the kids love it for some reason, and for the most part there have only ever been a few shows that really make me want to put a axe through the TV, but Bloody Chris "Caterpillar Eyebrws" Jarvis irritates me more than any other person on TV (and that INCLUDES Jeremy Vile and Katie Price!)

Who in the blue hell ever thought he was suitable as a kids TV presenter? He constantly talks down to viewers and would even make a new-born babys IQ drop several points! I feel extremely uneasy whenever he is on the screen. If he was a father in the school yard at home time I would be telling my kids never to speak to him as he seems to be bordering on the pervy.

Please Cbeebies Fire him. I thought for a few months you had, but then he reappears again on some god awefull playschool clone

Are you a spurned lover? You've started more than one thread. He's not that bad

reikizen · 12/12/2009 16:50

It's always unreasonable to want to punch someone in the face imo

PuppyMonkey · 12/12/2009 16:55

Crikey, you must really hate him with TWO threads!! Can think of a million other people worth two threads, not HIM.

StealthPolarBear · 12/12/2009 17:03

which one is he? the one with pui?

GetDownYouWillFall · 12/12/2009 17:10

I think overly excitable and irritating are on the job description TBH.
Wouldn't make me want to punch him though.

TheGashlycrumbTinies · 12/12/2009 17:15

Oh, I quite like him.

Especially in the storybook programme, with the talking clock and bookcase.

Now gangly Andy...

But still wouldn't want to punch him.

yes yabu.

It's horrible to suggest punching anyone in the fact, even if you'd never intend to do it.

And your op is bordering on lible. "If he was a father in the school yard at home time I would be telling my kids never
to speak to him as he seems to be bordering on the pervy."
Nasty.

notanumber · 12/12/2009 17:52

I quite like Chris and think he's very good at his job. But, y'know, you don't have to, that's ok. Your response seems a bit disproportionate though - you could just... .... switch off.

And to call him "pervy" is unnecessary. For crying out loud, it's a television show - what can he possibly be doing that's sexually suspect?

Are you serious? Or are you deliberately exxagerating for comic effect because he annoys you?

Glitterknickaz · 12/12/2009 18:08

YABU.
He's camper than a row of tents. He's lovely.
Now Alex and Cerrie are a different matter, they really are shite.

santaschristmascakeywakey · 12/12/2009 18:12

Err, I'm not his biggest fan, but haven't tipped over into violent dislike for him. I just don't watch him. Sorted.

BelleDameSansTurkey · 12/12/2009 18:18

Oh everyone loves Justin and I think he's a bit creepy. Assume we all have different preferences. Now Sid - hmmm, quite tasty!

Brunettelady · 12/12/2009 19:21

YABU, I really like Chris and think he is a great presenter. Especially on Show Me Show Me. Like Glitter says, Alex and Cerrie are bloody awful (hence my previous thread about how crap they are).

MeringueUtan · 12/12/2009 19:24

YABU
i likehim
he is great and a real asset imo

oldraver · 12/12/2009 20:12

I quite fancy like him

GetDownYouWillFall · 12/12/2009 20:16

@ oldraver

stillenacht · 12/12/2009 20:20

YABU I like him. I dislike all the others.
