to phone local police station and hospital looking for DP?

DP went out for a few drinks this evening at 7pm. I last heard from him at 10pm.I went to bed in a sulk at 11pm as thought he would be back, now its 2.20am and he isn't back and phone is going straight to answerphone. This really isn't something he would do normally! Will the local police station or hospital think I'm bonkers if I ring up and ask if they have him? Very worried now!

It is a terrible feeling to be so worried in the middle of the night.

He is almost certainly OK - just on a binge and has lost track of time.

I would only start ringing police/hospitals if he hasn't surfaced by morning.

Try to go back to sleep - will be next to impossible, I know.

They won't do anything till morning at the earliest. Try to sleep- he will be fine, I'm sure.

I've done this (and rung around the hospitals) but DH surfaced at midday very sheepishly as he'd been sleeping it off at a mate's house. I was livid.

Hope he's turned up or been in touch.

When he mentioned going for drinks, did he mention going with any of his friends? Even if he went alone, he could have met up with some friends by chance. Perhaps you could try telephoning some of his good friends, despite the late hour.(I'm sure that they'd be understanding.)

Hey, soooo sorry for not replying to your posts! DP had gone to a friends after getting so drunk he couldn't walk. Passed out and phone was dead. He has been in the dog house since he arrived home at 8am Sunday morning. I could have killed him, he can't see why I'm so angry at him! I'm right though aren't I?
