to think that my HV should have phoned me since March when I was diagnosed with PND?

My HV phoned yesterday asking me to make an appointment for a 2 year check for my dd. I was surprised as haven't heard from her in 9 months.

I was finally diagnosed with PND in March after breaking down in tears when she visited me at home. She gave me a telephone helpline number and stayed with my dd while I went to another room to phone them. I got an appointment to be assessed by a counsellor on 13th March and have since seen the GP to get antidepressants and have had a course of counselling. In all this time I have not had any contact from my hv.

I am feeling much better now but AIBU to think that it is pretty shocking that she has not phoned me in 9 months to check if I'm ok?

I think I had PND from the start and feel that they should have spotted it sooner (DD was 15 months when I was diagnosed) I am fortunate that I have had a lot of support from friends and family but other mums might not be so lucky and their lack of action could have serious consequences for other mums.

So AIBU to want to say something at the 2 year check appointment?

She should have checked that you were coping ok and accessing the help. I am astonished that she hasn't been in contact for 9 months. You should say something, somebody else may not have coped as well as you have.
