can you ask for an emergenc appointment? if not Iwouldgo somewhere else.ear infections are awful!

hope you feel better soon

Oh, poor you, ear infections are horrid.

They should always keep a few appointments free in case of anyone needing urgent attention. Call back and try to get through to them that you are in a LOT of pain and being sick/can't go to work/take kids to toddler group basically is interfering with ability to carry out normal daily activity. Offer to sit there and wait if necessary.

Although I'm afraid it may be a bit late by noon, sorry. Can you get to a walk in centre or pharmacy for some advice/pain relief?

Otherwise, they HAVE to offer appointments within 48 hours so demand a slot for tomorrow, not to be made to call back then.

Does your doctor have a pharmacy attached? If it does, go and see the pharmacist there. It is quite likely they can deal with it but if they think it seems serious they will call up to the doctor and get you seen pretty much straight away. If not try NHS24 and see if they can diagnose over the phone and send you to a community pharmacy for treatment?

It is also worth phoning up again and saying you are getting much worse and now showing signs of systemic infection - just sort of beg and say "call me if there are any cancellations, I'll come right away." I've found that if you sound angry, you don't sound particularly ill - pathetic works better!

I had an extra bit to add to that but my son started yelling for me... I was going to say dont leave it too long. I had an ear infection in one ear which I left a couple of days while I was at uni and it damaged my ear so badly that I am now partially deaf in that ear!

Go to a walk in centre.

If you are in that much pain and the doctors won't see you then go to the walk in.
