I started a new thread coz I didn't want to hijack the ipod touch thread but it has got me worried.

See, I have brought my ds an ipod touch for xmas, it was £149 in argos and I thought that was it. I didn't realise you had to pay extra on top for internet access

I didn't do my research properly did I? So do I now have to pay a monthly subscripton? Oh balls - I just thought it was a modern version of the nano.

Can you return it, get your money back and get him something else?

I'm really not sure where you got the internet idea from.

It has wifi, so you can use it to surf the net at home if you have a wireless network and at any wifi hotspots. I tend to look around for free ones if I am out! Lots of cafes, pubs, etc. now offer free wifi.

chopstheduck · 07/12/2009 12:43

The internet is only one feature on it too, so it really doesn't need a subscription. I do my downloads at home, over our home network and tend to mostly use my blackberry for surfing on the go. My itouch I use mostly for music.

and you'll need i tunes anyway for all the apps. a wi fi area might be enough to get the apps/music....

Oh thank you'all - don't have to fork out any more dosh then - thank God for that.

I've seen the thread you are refering too (I think!) I think the poster was confused between itouch and iphone tbh.

Even if you don't have wifi at home, u can use itunes via the usb cable, you don't NEED the wifi at all.
