she phoned this morning to tell us thet her son's baby had been born
did he ask any questions..................
of course not, so no weight, name, not even how the mum is.
so aibu for thinking he should(I won't as I think he should have been nicer on the phone earlier to a new Nanny)

YANBU

Why are men so crap with these things?

DP has taken a couple of new baby calls before - one of them TWINS - and did we find out anything? Nope. No time, weight, mode of arrival, mother's well-being...

Useless

neversaydie · 07/12/2009 13:05

Why not call her yourself? She might even appreciate the chance to tell you all about it!

TinselianAstra · 07/12/2009 13:12

You call her. You'll have a better chat that way.

Brunettelady · 07/12/2009 19:42

YANBU but men are useless at these sorts of things so you can't expect them to ask about weight etc. I would just speak to her yourself. Otherwise you'll get no information if you rely on a man to do it.

FabIsVeryHappy · 07/12/2009 19:59

I would call myself.

Why was he not nice? Nothing in the OP to suggest he wasn't.

When there are any new babies in DH's family, his mum phones to tell me.
