I live in a flat and we're not allowed cats but a new one started jumping in my window back in the summer. I called to the nearby house and found they had a new puppy which had frightened their cat. The mum was cool with her coming in as she had shelter and cats aren't like dogs, you can't train them.
After three weeks of the cat obviously not eating the food they left for her and her getting seriously emaciated, I began feeding her specialist cat food to build her up and again talked to the mum making it abs clear she's always their cat, they can come and get or just visit her anytime she was happy.
Cat got a bit clumpy, she's longhaired, she was caught and shaved before I could get the catgroomer in, I cancelled the appt.
Now it's more serious, I have the horrible feeling she's pregnant. She's not my cat, but spends most of her time here. I'm willing to look after any kits and home them and pay for spaying, but is that overstepping the line for their cat? I don't want to offend them just what's best for the cat. They've just lost her brother, he's stopped coming home.
