Bloody ASDA!

Don't order anything from them this Christmas! They don't have their own delivery staff but use the Royal Mail. Therefore (and I suppose I should have seen this coming) I am now two Christmas presents down and £65 out of pocket. Which I wouldn't mind so much, except that the best ASDA can do is to offer me the chance to fill in a complaint form, which they insist has to be done - BY POST! Not much help at this time of year when every penny counts.

OK, rant over. Just wanted to get that off my chest.

ohh, im suprised - i never had any problems with them my stuff always arrives very quickly. but that sucks for you, will they not just give a refund?!

kittycatty · 03/12/2009 08:58

Im supprised too, had loads of stuff from them last few month very quick delivery.

I will never use ASDA again. I did an online shop with them a few weeks ago, supposed to arrive between 7 and 8pm on a Saturday - we were going out at 8:30. By 8:45 the shopping still hadn't arrived, and when I phoned the customer service line, they told me the order hadn't even been packed at the store yet! But no-one thought to call and tell me. So I told them to cancel it and refund my money, and we went out.

When we got back, there was a card addressed to someone called Paula (???) saying 'sorry you were out'. I called them again, no-one knew who Paula was but they said I could have my money back but that it would take TEN DAYS to reach my account.

Grrrrrr Never again.

I had a similar experience to yours Mama L, the first and only time I used Asda online. They were utterly shite.

I love that 10 days line... It certainly doesnt take them 10 days to take money OUT of your account.
From someone on the inside (not Asda, just retail in general) stick to your guns, stores will try to fob you off with the easiest possible route for them.
