and then it's ignored, and either I have to repeat it, or then someone else comes and makes exactly the same point and everyone goes "oh yes, that's quite clever" "what a good and inciteful point" and so on. Maybe I should just type in caps?
So, AIBU?

So often reviled
So often defiled
Earths poor little rodents, so meek and so mild

So little of paw
So large of heart
So oft' trodden on and squished apart

Much underrated
Misunderstood
Too often berated for being 'no good'

Oh sweet little creatures
Come, sit by my knee
I shall delight you with singing
And my dance of pure glee

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 10/12/2009 16:02

Oh Bravo Gibbon! Bravo!

Mr Rochester has swooned absolutely.

HowTheGibbonStoleChristmas · 10/12/2009 16:09

I fear it was rather rushed but I did not want to keep Mr Rochester waiting any longer.
I am rather flustered truth be known. Performing for him has caused me to come over all unnecessary.

I fear an attack of the vapors.

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 10/12/2009 16:13

Hold on there, I will call for the smelling salts.

No, it was a bravura performance. The eurythmy will long be a memory in these hallowed halls and the ode shall be copied out by our finest scribe and hung upon the tapestry.

GhostofMintyCandyCane · 10/12/2009 16:15

[claps for the dramatic eurythmy and ode]

Glad I bought my pomander though it is smelly in here.

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 10/12/2009 16:19

You can't clap, Minty darling, or clasp a pomander, because you're sadly dead.

HowTheGibbonStoleChristmas · 10/12/2009 16:24

I am giddy with excitement yet still deep in grief for Gerald. Do you think he would have liked it?

GhostofMintyCandyCane · 10/12/2009 16:24

Yes, dead, poor little me and I have clearly lost my ghostly mind as well. I was so sure I had a pomander.

GhostofMintyCandyCane · 10/12/2009 16:25

argh it was a ghostly Gerald that I clasped - the shock

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 10/12/2009 16:29

Gibbon, Gerald always enjoyed an exotic blend of the giddy and the grief. I am sure he would be touched.

We can hold a seance and ask the ghost of MissMinty to ask little Gerald who passed before (even tho she did mistake him for a pomander)

HowTheGibbonStoleChristmas · 10/12/2009 16:34

Ohhh yes if MissMinty could oblige, I would be forever in her debt.

CupOChristmasCheerfulYank · 10/12/2009 16:34

Ah, Gerald! It is only the good that go so long before they ought.

HowTheGibbonStoleChristmas · 10/12/2009 16:37

Never a truer word spoken cheerful

GhostofMintyCandyCane · 10/12/2009 16:39

Gerald says he likes it apart from the squished apart bit.

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 10/12/2009 16:40

We shall have to wait for dear Miss Minty to apparate and then we can ask her. I have used the oiuja board, so she may join us shortly. Mr Rochester is on full alert, his sixth sense is keen as he has lost his sight.

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 10/12/2009 16:41

Oh! How prompt and timely dear miss Minty truly is! Thank you dear, tell me, are you in congress with any other spirits? My dear sister seeks Heathcliff upon the moors.

GhostofMintyCandyCane · 10/12/2009 16:41

wwwoooooo tap tap tap can't you hear me ?

CupOChristmasCheerfulYank · 10/12/2009 16:42

How are your vapors Gibbon? I pray that is all it is and not the consumption.

HowTheGibbonStoleChristmas · 10/12/2009 16:44

Thank you MissMinty - 'twas a crude attempt to acknowledge the manner in which he departed, I expect it is still very raw for him.

Tell him I am sorry and I will adore him till the end of time.

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 10/12/2009 16:44

Miss Minty, may I take this opportunity to say what a truly delightful ghost you make? Quite quite superb.

Are you available for light hauntings?

HowTheGibbonStoleChristmas · 10/12/2009 16:45

Vapors are passing thank you Cheerful you thoughtful darling you.

GhostofMintyCandyCane · 10/12/2009 16:46

Why thank you Hully [twirl]

Who would you like me to haunt ?

BTW tell your sister he is looking a bit rough these days she should go home and find a different form of entertainment.

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 10/12/2009 16:46

Oh yes, so if you should happen upon dear Heathcliffe, please tell him Cathy is sorry about Linton and that he turned out to be a very feeble specimen after all. But do be careful Miss Minty, altho you are already dead, Heathcliff is quite the enfant terrible.

TisTheSeasonToBeHully · 10/12/2009 16:47

Ah, rough you say? It is as we feared. he was never one for personal grooming. Perhaps you could give him hints?
