went clothes shopping with dh yesterday while the dc's where in school , dh spotted one of those jumper dresses that he thought would look nice on me , to me it looks like a Bridget Jones Xmas jumper type dress ,
i will describe if i can = it is a rusty red colour , sleeveless & has a teddy about a foot in size on the front & the same on the back , crochet on the top . we left the shop and for three hours solid dh kept nagging me to buy the dress as he though it would look nice on me , in the end tired & feet killing me i gave in & bought the bloody thing just to shut him up but i doubt if i will ever wear it . it was only £20 pound so not expensive .

I couldn´t buy/wear something just because my husband wanted me too.
Unless I also liked it.

Do you like it?

ABetaDad · 01/12/2009 18:46

Now normally I would be too polite to comment but what on earth was he thinking?

More to the point, what were you doIng agreeing to it?

Jamieandhismagictorch · 01/12/2009 18:46

OMG. That is vile (sorry, but it is)

fabhead · 01/12/2009 18:47

Holy mother of god why!?

And why did you agree!!!

Make sure you wear it to his work Xmas party ....

You're right, It's a bit of a shame about the teddy as the dress as a top is not too bad.

Was he winding you up do you think?

MrsMills · 01/12/2009 18:52

If he likes it so much, make him wear it

YouKnowNothingoftheCrunch · 01/12/2009 18:53

Could you layer it with something to cover up the bear?

And as for your (d)H's taste HA!

MrsMills · 01/12/2009 18:54

Actually, something has just occured to me.

You don't think there's any way that we asked you to buy it so that he errr, you know.......

Well it does happen.

biggirlsdontcry · 01/12/2009 18:55

i know i know a moment of madness

SparklyGothKat · 01/12/2009 19:06

biggirlsdontcry · 01/12/2009 19:06

ABetaDad · 01/12/2009 19:08

Just wondered. Are the teddy bears simply sewn on to the dress as applique?

If so, can you detach them and sew them to one of DHs jumpers? Then you would have a servicable dress and he would have the teddies.

Marriage saved.

SparklyGothKat · 01/12/2009 19:10

noooooooo I need to see it

ImSoNotTelling · 01/12/2009 19:11

Oh no I can't see the dress!

biggirlsdontcry · 01/12/2009 19:11

ROFL - unfortunately not ABetaDad that would be too easy wouldn't it , oh no who ever made this dress wants those teddies to stay , they are bloody printed on it , back & front .
