Does anyone use them ? they seem to be really effective at cleaning between the teeth and getting rid of tartar. But the end of them is sharp wire ,surely they will scratch through the enamel?

Theres little risk to the enamel, although you wouldn't want to use then every time you brush.

If you've ever had a scrape and polish at the dentist you'll know that they can be quite keen with their use of those metal implements!

The main thing you need to gbe careful of isn't the teeth but the gums. Yes the wire is sharp at the end and can easily puncture the gums and make them sore.

My dentist advised me to use some (nothing wrong with my teeth) and they are nasty. I used the TePe ones.

It's impossible to get the wire between teeth and it hurts.

I've stuck with flossing.
