Asking if I am pregnant on Mumsnet

I have been feeling unwell for a few days, thought I had a stomach bug. Found a cheap internet test in the bathroom and within seconds two thick blue lines appeared. The test must be a couple of years old and it was very cheap so I do not believe it. My last period was 2 months ago that was very light flow and the one before that was another two months before.

I have just driven to the nearest 24 hour supermarket in total shock and I now have one of those digital tests which tell you how pregnant you are. Just for fun, whilst I drink a lot of juice so I can pee again. If my sickly feeling is due to pregnancy, how pregnant must I be ?

was just going to post the same thing mrsk. was watching im a celeb...(as you do), but have switched my attention to this. any news? [excited emotion]!

I did my first positive pregnancy test in a Dept. Store toilet. DH was out of the country so I couldn't tell anyone, and spent the afternoon at a toddler birthday party (which to the uninitiated seemed like pure hell). Completely shell-shocked.

Dont the ones that tell you how pregnant you are only go up to about 6 weeks.... what happens if you are 6 months or something??

After a while I think HPTs stop working (I mean after a while of being pg) because your HCG levels drop again after about 3 months. By that time I suppose you have other ways to tell...

i did my first positive test in a tube station toilet. dp was abroad and phone line unclear. shouted the news three times before he gave up and said he'd call me later. virtually all of fulham found out our news before dp did!
