Asking if I am pregnant on Mumsnet

I have been feeling unwell for a few days, thought I had a stomach bug. Found a cheap internet test in the bathroom and within seconds two thick blue lines appeared. The test must be a couple of years old and it was very cheap so I do not believe it. My last period was 2 months ago that was very light flow and the one before that was another two months before.

I have just driven to the nearest 24 hour supermarket in total shock and I now have one of those digital tests which tell you how pregnant you are. Just for fun, whilst I drink a lot of juice so I can pee again. If my sickly feeling is due to pregnancy, how pregnant must I be ?

Good luck and I hope you get the answer you want.

MummyElk · 30/11/2009 21:39

well if your last period was 2 months ago, you could be 6 wks pg?? which would account for feeling rubbish (i generally don't till about 5/6 wks)....ooh good luck - are you excited? how are you feeling about it all?!

PacificDogwood · 30/11/2009 21:40

FancyAGame · 30/11/2009 21:42

Happy surprise, my husband is laughing as he was joking about me being pregnant when I was feeling ill. So does anyone agree that the cheap test could be wrong?

Ladyanonymous · 30/11/2009 21:44

No. You can get a false neg but not a false pos.

losingtheplotthisweek · 30/11/2009 21:44

Nope, poundshop tests were more accurate than Clearview for DD...ditto the glasses of wine .

But she's gorgeous now, and only slightly eccentric .

jesusChristOtterStar · 30/11/2009 21:45

get the potty out

verytellytubby · 30/11/2009 21:45

No you are definitely pregnant. You can't get a false positive.

FancyAGame · 30/11/2009 21:45

Off to pee, wish me luck.

Oh, good, I love happy surprises .

Agree with the others, there is no such thing as a false positive.

As to the number of weeks....?
