This has just reminded me of when I was buying a sandwich or something in Pret once and instead of saying 'that's lovely, thank you, bye' I got muddled and said to the guy 'I love you, bye'.

LOL gagamama. I used to work in telesales for a double glazing company and remember on a couple of occasions being mortified when the words 'lots of love bye' came out of my mouth!!! As this is how i end my calls to friend and family i suppose i was on autopilot but

The reason he says love you, bye originally started as a joke to see how many people would respond [on autopilot] with the same. I won't have a word said against him or Chris Moyles though...I think they are both fab. Whereas Fearne Cotton makes me switch over to Ken Bruce immediately (yep, its that bad) and nomarks such as Greg James are just dull dull dull.

Have never listened to Scott Mills, but Adam Buxton from off of the Adam and Joe Show on 6Music says 'love you, bye!' at the end of every podcast, and I think it's sweet
