to want to hurl something at the TV screen (or just hurl) when Talentless Tiffany sings "Someday my Prince will Come" on Disney?

No, I'd happily strangle her but then s'pose its my fault for letting ds2 watch playhouse disney whilst I 'briefly' look at mn

SoupDragon · 23/11/2009 17:35

What's worse is that I can't stop singing it.

I have been spared Tiffany as we only have cbeebies in this house (so far). But that song drives me up the wall. My feminist hackles rise so far that you almost have to scrape me off the ceiling. The whole Disney Princess thing.... bleugh!
Plus the whole Disney = have to be a stage school child or you're uncool and worthless thing.... bleugh!

And breathe.

SkipToMyLou · 23/11/2009 18:00

ugh ugh ugh she makes Miley Cyrus look talented!

MintyCane · 23/11/2009 18:03

[snigger] Talentless Tiffany should be her stage name, poor girl.

YANBU

My 3 year old adores it and made me replay it over and over on Sky Plus the first time she saw it. She does a little ballet dance to it. Cute the first few times. Now it drives me insane.

I was getting annoyed about this stupid song today and I am not much of a feminist. Yes she is annoying - who is she by the way? But the song itself is so degrading - like women are blessed when a man comes along and agrees to marry them. Why is it that women come across as so desperate and needy in these fairytales - or am I being OTT?

SoupDragon · 23/11/2009 18:14

Here you are, just for those who haven't experienced it in its full glory.

I'm not much of a feminist either but that song makes me want to whack her with a flat pack bookshelf and a power screwdriver.

No it's enough to make me want to burn my bra whilst still wearing it both for the sheer pink windmill factor
of tiffAny and the songs message

mind you the new presenters on playhouse get on my nerves - given it's aimed at the under 5s someone who could pronounce their words properly would be good

MrsTittleMouse · 23/11/2009 18:34

My God, that video is awful, worse than I imagined. Her nauseating saccharine smile.

AmazingBouncingFerret · 23/11/2009 19:22

Is this the same girl that sings the song at the end of Sleeping Beauty on the most recent release of the DVD? If so my DS hates it and shouts at me to turn it off. I havent succumbed (sp?) to paying for playhouse disney yet quite glad now actually!

Vivia · 24/11/2009 14:10

What fresh hell IS that video?!
