For not bringing DP anything back from the bakery?

On friday I went to the bakery and bought 4 sausage rolls for £1.

DP was at work so I thought I'd have one for my lunch and give the other 3 to the kids (as we have 3 kids).

When DP came in from work he asked who the sausage rolls were for. I told him and he asked why I didn't get him anything I said they were 4 for £1 so I just got one for my lunch and the others for the kids.

He went in a mood believe it or not.

I got angry in the end and said "have one if you want one that badly!"

He then decided he didn't fancy any tea and would have a sausage roll for his tea instead

Obviously this meant the kids couldn't have any as they were only 2 left.

I think he was being ridiculously petty but WIBU to not buy him anything to start with?

Gosh just goes to show how immature SOME men can be, first its the wanting a weekend with the lads at home with the expense of one dps female partner and kids(a past AIBU post), than nicking the kids sausage rolls because another dh is in a huff in this post, geeze some men.

CoffeeMum · 22/11/2009 16:25

Can I assume you were at home with the DC all day, and that DH was at work all day? In that case, he was being very unreasonable to have a sulk, eat the sausage roll [at the expense of his tea], and create a situation where there were no longer enough sausage rolls to share fairly among the kids.

It would only have been acceptable to feel you should have got something for DH if say, you had taken DC into town on a weekend, and come home and eaten sausage rolls in front of him while he had none. I can see him being a bit miffed then, but it doesn't sound like that kind of situation?

So no, YANBU!

yanbu he is being very childish! when i go to the bakery i do, in general buy something for dp because i know what he likes, but if i didn't i would not expect this behaviour at all
