to wish that awful flapping child on the CBeebies advert on the right of my screen would sod off!

That's about it really!

She's quite sweet I suppose but the flapping arms are distracting me from important MNing!

I saw a thread before about it and thought I had been lucky. Now it's on the side of mine too and it is really annoying.

All the flapping makes you look at it which pisses me off when I am trying to look at the threads list.

FritesMenthe · 20/11/2009 19:52

A-ha. If you roll over the green bit, she holds up a sheet of paper and stops flapping!

NorbertDentressangle · 20/11/2009 19:55

Can I make a suggestion.

The BBC can still put an ad there but what would really sell CBeebies/CBBC to parents is to have a still, silent child on the ad. Maybe sitting there on a sofa quietly watching Charlie and Lola...not waving, not flapping, not jumping up and down just sitting still.

Result.

maybe if we let her flap for long enough she'll bugger off take off somewhere else

bumpybecky · 20/11/2009 20:01

YANBU - flappy girl is very irritating. I'm sure she's very lovely in real life, but up there on my screen she's annoying.

As to bunches, my dds have all had them at various points. They're quicker than plaits, so better for wriggly ones and when running late in the morning. For very long hair pony tails are fine, but for not such long hair they don't keep the hair tied back as well as bunches do. Hair needs to be tied back to try and keep nits away. I'm not doing it to make them look cute!

She has a face for radio.

I hate all the cbeebies ads. I hate all the children on them.

Am sorry if any of them are your child.

Sure they are very nice IRL but god, shouldn't they be in bed by now?

Tee2072 · 20/11/2009 20:50

Hey, I have an idea. Use Adblock Plus and then you'll never have to see her again. That's what I do!

Rather than, ya know, starting 1900000 threads about it.

spicemonster · 20/11/2009 21:02

I didn't even know about that Tee - sounds great but it would have been nice if you'd been slightly less patronising. And it doesn't work on IE anyway
