...I have a 1 year old and only just discover that Pull-Ups tear off?

We've had to use them at night since he was about 4 months, as they're all that stopped leaks, and I took to keeping craft scissors around at night and when out and about, to cut them off. I even submitted that as a tip to the Towers. Then when gravely advising someone to do so on a thread, I was politely told they tore: I averred confidently that our brand didn't. Then tried it. And of course they do.

10 flipping months of either smearing poo all over the baby's legs/myself, or desperately trying not to cut him, as well as the nappy, and the feckers tear off! How could I not know that?

Has anyone else done something that stupid for that long? Please?
