...to not expect to still be waiting for a dishwasher that was scheduled to arrive at 12pm today?

It is now 5:30pm (ish). I have been in all day without so much as a phonecall from the company (except this morning when they rang to say their 'drivers hadn't turned up'). Where the hell is my dishwasher?? Sorry for the rant. And MN, thank you for keeping me entertained all day .

take your dirty dishes round and leave them on their doorstep

Riven - I have been madly dashing to the loo all day for for fear that that would happen, and have had my mobile glued to my side in case they call (fat chance). I HATE them. Strong word, yes, but in this context perfectly justified. (I actually detail-changed in case anyone from RL saw this - not sure why - but it's actually a sofa, not a dishwasher, that I'm waiting for, so am currently sitting on the floor.)

Did they promise 12pm?

Do you know there is no such time?

There is noon and there is midnight. But 12am and 12pm do not exist. For if they did: which is which?

They may have you on a technicality there.

But sympathy anyway. They are bastards.

its the fact that for the whole day you cant do anything tho isnt it? you wouldnt mind staying in if it was your choice but because you ahve been told to expect someone at a specified time, you spend the day glancing at the window, feeling the rage building up (or maybe thats just me...)
i spent today waiting for the washing machine man and he arrived just as i got back from picking ds1 from school-how lucky was i?!

FlyMeToDunoon · 18/11/2009 20:32

Total crap isn't it.
Some companies manage to give you time slots or telephone to say they are running late and others seem to operate in the dark ages with absolutely no concept of customer service whatsoever.

is it currys? we had to wait soo many weeks for them to come and deliver. when they did, it had been broken so had to take it away and wait more weeks for another one. the other day we found a leak coming out the back of it as they had not even installed it properly, so had to get a plumber out to fix it!
you should keep calling them up and harrass them a bit see if you can get some quicker results
