I smoke in the house, where children live! shoot me.

I fed DW lots of nice Camembert and brie de meaux. To the OP: get some roquefort in, nicer than Danish Blue.

TheDevil - Funnily enough I used to love dippy eggs but went off them as soon as I got pregnant. And I could technically eat them too as they come from my hens in the garden...so there.

Danish blue??? YABVU.

Now, if it were roquefort or gorgonzola, that would be a different matter!

FWIW, here in Greece no one has advised me not to eat blue cheese during pregnancy. I asked the doctor about it once, having heard from friends in the UK about it, and the doctor laughed and said he thought it was a bit extreme.

I agree about the roquefort SomeGuy....also love gorgonzola

I have totally forgotten how long to boil eggs for, and there's only one- bet I cock it up

pate? Are you not supposed to eat pate during pregnancy?? I didn't know this one! I'm surprised my children were born so healthy, it looks like I did everything wrong!

Oh FFS. Enjoy it, OP, the chances of anything going wrong (that wouldn't have gone wrong for some other reason) are statistically tiny. HOw many people on this thread who eat blue cheese/soft cheese/pate whether PG or not have even had listeria?

champagne and red wine? so you won't be breastfeeding then? (shakes head in dismay)

definitely NBU. I've been merrily eating bad cheese, pate, peanuts etc. Haven't given up alcohol either.

The last breakout of listeria in the country was nearly 26 years ago and that was from lettuce.

TutTutter - how did you know I was mad??? Is it that obvious??
