feeling let down

...because I feel upset because the place I work haven't sent me a get well card

I have worked in a small office just over 5 years and whenever someone had an operation or anything...I always made a point of getting a card, prezzie etc from the office

Three weeks ago I had a major operation and am still going to be off work for another three weeks.

It feels like out of sight out of mind and I feel pretty let down.

It's because you're the one that does it and everyone else thinks that the get well card fairy will pop in and do it. It's a sod - stop doing it for other people, or stop doing it from 'the office' and do it from yourself.
