Now I'm NOT a fashionista and I'm REALLY not clothes-brand-aware but what on earth is it with all this "Superdry" stuff - it sounds to me like a brand of feminine hygeine product...

I've even seen "University of Superdry"...what on earth would they do courses in...

We have a brand new shopping centre and when I was in the other day I saw that one of the new shops was proudly boasting its Superdry stocks so even more people will be wearing it....

And I don;t understand what G-Star Raw means either....

I like superdry.

Callisto · 12/11/2009 20:43

All obvious clothing lables are dreadful imo.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 12/11/2009 20:45

G-Star is a brand name. The stuff is quite nice but stupidly overpriced imo.

pigletmania · 12/11/2009 20:46

What a stupid name!

Bathsheba · 12/11/2009 20:51

GetOrfMoiLand - It does sound like it would prevent fanjo chaffage, so whats not to like in that.......

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt - ah, that'll expalin it = people in this city do have a great need to show off what they can afford, so if something is known to be reidiculously over priced that will make it all the more popular...

I don't mind it but it's definitely a male mid '30's crisis clothing line. DH has stopped wearing his now...

I love G-star but it's sooo expensive.

GetOrfMoiLand · 12/11/2009 20:54

I have got a couple of superdry jumpers and dp has several t-shirst (we don't wear them together like harold and hilda by the way )

They wash really well.

LyraSilvertongue · 12/11/2009 20:55

I love Superdry. Our shopping centre is soon getting a whole Superdry shop. Selling nothing but Superdry. hooray!

Meglet · 12/11/2009 22:06

we've just got a superdry, although I haven't ventured in there yet. Is it from the US / japan / italy.......?

I prefer abercrombie (it washes well too), but will go off it the moment it open outside of london.

LyraSilvertongue · 12/11/2009 22:41

Japan, I believe.

dozydaisy · 12/11/2009 23:02

I love Superdry as the sizes are long in the body which fits my 17 year old 6 foot 4 son lol.

upahill · 12/11/2009 23:07

Lucky you Lyrasilver... that's fab!!

Sorry Meglet round my way the Chav's wear Abercrombie. (Before anyone jumps down my throat I work with enough young people on a daily basis to know that call themselves as Chavs- round here anyway!!!)

upahill · 12/11/2009 23:12

verytelly... Are you having a laugh? It's not only a crisis fashion line for males. I've got loads of superdry stuff! Ps I'm female and no crisis looming yet

LittleOneMum · 13/11/2009 10:31

OK, I hate to break it to you ladies, but Superdry are actually from Ipswich. They have Japanese logos and stuff to try to look cool but they are definitely from Ipswich.

By the way i LOVE superdry tshirts. I am currently pg and their girls ones are really long, cover the bump and yet still look great. (not sure this was the desired design objective, but it works). So on that basis YABU. Sorry!

MrsMorgan · 13/11/2009 10:36

Personally i have never understood the Boxfresh branded clothes. Who on earth wants to wear a top with that on.

paddingtonbear1 · 13/11/2009 10:41

I like some of superdry stuff, it's not bad quality and washes really well. I also like G-star but don't buy much as it's so expensive.

ImSoNotTelling · 13/11/2009 10:41

WTF is superdry?

Boxfresh? G-star?

claw3 · 13/11/2009 10:59

Worse still is it an oldie thing and ive never heard of it and im so yesterday?

Confusedsoul · 13/11/2009 11:07

Think it's from Cheltenham actually... I like them but v overpriced

LaurieScaryCake · 13/11/2009 11:11

I have never heard of any of the above labels

ShutUpandDrinkYourGin · 13/11/2009 11:17

dp has a really nice superdry jacket

it isn't waterproof though which confused me initially

claw3 · 13/11/2009 11:17

Had to google, i had mental images of 'superdry' being like shell suits. Not too impressed with 'superdry' even after googling, il stick to Primark.

ImSoNotTelling · 13/11/2009 11:17
ImSoNotTelling · 13/11/2009 11:18

Well I just googled superdry and it's really odd. Even though I have never heard of it, they have a photo of DH and I on the front page of their website.

LyraSilvertongue · 13/11/2009 11:19

For laurie and others:
