DS1 needs a costumes for:

• book day on the 17th
• children in need on the 20th
• piece of fruit costume on the 24th

I can't even sew FGS!

YANBU - choose a piece of fruit (for the 24th), reuse on Book Character day for The Hungry Caterpillar story, add a stupid hat/glasses etc for Children in Need. Your school is being rather unreasonable with their demands.

children in need just buy the ears, or a bandana and dress him yellow, you don't have to have a costume, you could just choose a character that is a person, like horrid henry where you just have to put him normal clothes, and as for a piece of fruit dress him in green and a brown hat aka an apple or a pear e.t.c, or all in red or orange, you get the idea???
