OK, so I am about 3 years out of date on this but still. Just been chatting on another thread about how the bit when Carrie says 'and then I got to thinking...' and you see her type some inane crap.

HATE HATE HATE the film with a vengeance.

It's so fluffy and crap. I don't even get the excitement about the clothes.

Carrie - an explosion in a boutique.
Samantha - Stacey Slater's market stall clothes
Miranda - Next suits
Charlotte - Boden.

Now you see, if Smith could actually act, he would have been great. He did improve as the series went on, and he wasn't bad in the film, but by God, he was bloody awful to start with.

Better than bloody Mikhail Baryshnikov - the oddest casting I have ever seen.

The white dress she wore in that episode pictured by Serenity was just gorgeous. I absolutely loved it. That was the episode where she decided she didn't want to marry him. Awwww. Poor lickle Aidan.

I too think the first couple of series was groundbreaking.

Then it started to get really silly, the sex thing became bizarre - an whole episode dedicated to rimming/ cunnilingus I mean

I began to think it became a bit of a gay man's wet dream at the end tbh

Gah, I can't stand it. Scrawny middle aged women romping around dressed as 6 year olds. twirling their hair and spending all their time worrying about stupid men and shoes.

I think that white dress with the oversized corsage is absolutely amazing. Some of the fashion is a little, erm, out there. As is patricia field herself.

Some of the stuff she wore, well most of it, was a leetle bit ott.

Why is Carrie wearing different coloured shoes in Carmen's picture? WHY?! Reminds me a bit of Solange Knowle's are they shoes/are they boots shoots. Or booes.

He was never going to be the reliable choice. The sexy one, though.

I loved the series, hated the film.

God knows how they'll manage to find new plot strands for the next one, the last one was contrived enough.

My friend is just like Charlotte. Took me five years to teach her to swear.

I liked the series but the film was urgh.

I found Carrie really unlikeable, on the Mexico honeymoon one of her friends was dealing with a marriage break up and Carrie was lolling around going 'will I ever laugh again' so dramatic.

Hated the way Miranda and Carrie were shown too - women who wanted Too Much and so they got what they Deserved.

I haven't seen the movie.
But I loved how the series ended for Miranda, her showing sympathy for Steve's mother etc.

i can't relate to the shoes part of it, i mean, i like shoes, yes, but would never spend as much as they do on a pair

I like Miranda (despite the eating with her mouth open)

I like Harry , Steve and the gay guys

SJP's acting is todallly OTT in most scenes, she tries to be too cutesy.

But it's an easy on the eye and brain half and hour. rather that than Sky Sports

all the chraters are gay guys in essence

Oh yes, I like Harry too. And I liked Carry the least, she was, after all, a big pita.

I have never seen a single episode of sex and the city and never seen the film.

My ex-best friend was always trying to get me into it and tried to blackmail me, when she was unhappy (one of the reasons for ex!) to watch it with me cos she knew I hated it!!

i love charlotte's wedding planner friend, anthony. he's hilarious.
