AIBU not to wear a bib at school? I am 10 !

Hi!

AIBU to not wear the bib that my mum tries to make me wear at school? I am 10 and she says I make a mess, especially when I spill my fruit shoot and get sausage roll crumbs on me. I am not a baby anymore.

Thanks,
Bibless Barry

Poor Bibless Barry. Your mum sounds slightly unhinged.

ShinyAndNew · 30/10/2009 10:04

YABU. Maybe your poor mum cannot afford to keep buying you new clothes when they get stained with fruit shoot. She only wants you to look your best. My dd's will be wearing bib ubtill they are old enough to buy their own clothes.

ONTOH your mum is BU making you eat fruit shoot and Greggs. Doesn't she know that Cola and salted nuts are what is recommended for childrens lunch boxes these days?

BiblessBarry · 30/10/2009 11:09

I understand her not wanting my lovely boden clothes to be ruined. I have Relentless and pork scratchings for my dinner.

How will she know if you wear it or not?

I say lie.

DuelingFanjo · 30/10/2009 11:18

I am confused about this. Are all the posts you keep making about bibs and penguin bibs some kind of mumsnet in-joke or just someone on half term pissing about?

BiblessBarry · 30/10/2009 11:20

It is just someone on half term pissing about (just this thread)

This is a thread started by poor Barry's deranged mum.

Barry sweetheart- would you like us to call social services and find you a nice new mummy?

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 30/10/2009 11:23

DuellinFanjo - search pelican bib from the last couple of days and you'll find the thread

IMoveTheStarsForNoOne · 30/10/2009 11:24

or just let BigKnickers find it for you

BiblessBarry · 30/10/2009 11:24

Yes please! She also ties my bedroom door with a rope and keeps the house very clean! Please don't just ask my mum just go right ahead and ring SS or/and NSPCC

custard emergencies made me bark

BrigitBigKnickers · 30/10/2009 11:27

A clean house?! She sounds like a monster- come and live here with me and my DDs- we live in squalor it's much nicer and we don't have any door handles so we won't be able to tie them shut!

BrigitBigKnickers · 30/10/2009 11:30

Oh and none of that pork scratchings rubbish- we are having tripe for dinner. I prepare it specially for the dog but the DDs like it too.

whoooooisasking · 30/10/2009 11:33

vwkombi is, I believe, a salesperson for Maclaren and tommy tippee pelican bibs.

It's bumped threads going back YEARS, always about bibs or Maclaren pushchairs.

BarrysMum · 30/10/2009 11:40

Barry! Eat your beetroot and don't stain your t-shirt. I TOLD you to wear you bib but you just don't listen.

BiblessBarry · 30/10/2009 11:43

OMG. I have just googled my mums email address that I found on another thread of hers.

BiblessBarry · 30/10/2009 11:49

WTF is all that about?
When I googled her name it came up with a link on a comment she/he had made on a photo of a young woman wearing a nappy.
