To feel really uncomfortable to see people on fb calling their children names?

Ie a bitch? When the child is 6 years old too. It makes me so sad and it's not needed. This seems to be a "normal" thing too and not in response to be stressed out.

I'm not perfect by a long shot but I really think it's awful to talk about your children that way .

yanbu its horrible. whats wrong with calling them little monkeys or what not no need to use language like that. i cant stand it when parents swear AT their kids either e.g heard a woman on the street a while ago say to her dd 'ffs hurry up will you'

Oh I know what you mean diddl, it was the way it's been worded though, as if it may be said to the child as well. Can't say too much just in case but said in a way that suggested they thought it was funny and nothing to even be concerned about.

But YANBU to not like it.

Probably sounding a bit "prim" here, but imo, "language" is best avoided once you have children, just in case something stronger than necessary slips out!
