YABU. DS (15 months) is captivated by it and therefore doesn't try to bash my keyboard so much

Not unreasonable at all. There have been a couple of threads on "Site_Stuff" that I've seen, recently, and it can be distracting.

Think you (FernieB) and anyone else should visit www.getfirefox.com and add

Adblock Plus : addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865

FlashBlock : addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/433

WebMail adblock : addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/7560

(those add-ons should block plenty of advertising from view for you)
