before drenching her single (!) weeatabix in 3/4 of a pint of milk. Argh, this does drive me nuts. If I was visiting someone and I felt like slurping up all their remaining milk supplies in one go, I'd at least have the decency to leave enough milk for a cup of coffee. AIBU?

it's an odd milk to weetabix ratio, hence the (!). I like my weetabix very soft as well, but she would have been able to drink hers with the amount of milk on there. No spoon needed

no diddl it's perfectly acceptable imho to have just one weetabix. Two or even three is fine too. Four - well that would be interesting. Hats off to anyone who can master that. But not with my milk please.

I have one weetabix - I like mine on the hard side too, so I require minimum milk.

DCs are not sllowed Weetabix in our house if we are low on milk.

you're right the milk to weetaix ratio will be absolutley terrible!! 3 weetabix require exactly 200 mls of milk to get to the correct degree of firm but squishy. Anything else is madness i tell you! Madness!!

My mum has one and a half weetabix. I don't know why but it drives me absolutely mad. It's not like there's any significant calorific saving in half a weetabix, and it means whoever come to the packet next either has to navigate past her half to get to the next full one. And the packet is always full of crumbs from the breaking-up.

Go mad, Mum! Have two! Or one, and some toast!

Aged about 1.5, ds1 once ate 5.5 weetabix for breakfast. He had his usual 1.5, and asked for more, so I gave him another - and he asked for more - so I carried on giving him more when he asked for it, until he stopped asking after 5.5!! I was stunned - mind you, he didn't eat much lunch that day.

Oh, and yanbu - using up the last of the milk is utterly unacceptable, and it's not like it would have made an appreciable difference to the consistency of her slop weetabix if she'd left you enough for a cuppa!

Stayingscary - you got there just before me! DS2 once ate five weetabix at 18months. I think he would have eaten more given half a chance but it was getting a bit scary!

i could understand her if you didn't have much milk left.

but! i would still think that she should have asked if it okay first, or her offer to go and fetch more.

but 3/4 of a pint is excessive and she should have left you with enough for a cuppa.
