to not wake up my DH and two kids who have been asleep for 2 hours knowing that they'll be a nightmare to get to bed later?

Everyone's asleep and it's peaceful.

Just me, mumsnet and the dishwasher swishing away.

I should wake them all up.

But I just can't bring myself to interrupt this quiet.

DH isn't usually a nightmare to get to bed, even if he's had a nap, so I'm not necessarily talking about him!

I know the feeling....

Dh @ pub watching match

Ds fell asleep on sofa

DD has her nose in a book

I have the fire lit & the pc in front of me................

Oh I hate this dilemma!! Not least because DS1 is so so grumpy when he is woken up that he doesn't just ruin the peace, he destroys it

Have another cup of tea

Just looked at your profile. Can I ask where you got your rug that has the track on it? It is very nice.

nevergoogledragonbutter · 25/10/2009 16:38

It was from the pier.
I've just tried to find it and it seems the pier have shut up shop.
It gives off a lot of fluff though, so you're not missing out.

Thanks for looking. Like the colours in it, quite unusual .

nevergoogledragonbutter · 25/10/2009 16:46

It was from a debenhams sale and kind of goes with anything.

I think you should leave them all asleep, then when they wake up waske DH and say 'I've been on duty all afternon, it's your turn now' and hope the DCs aren't savvy enough to tell him they've been asleep all the time you were 'on duty'.

nevergoogledragonbutter · 25/10/2009 16:51

They need to wake first for that to work.

TrillianSlasher · 25/10/2009 16:55

When he wakes:

"You are on duty when they wake up, they've been giving me hell while youve been asleep"

beaniesinthepumpkinagain · 25/10/2009 16:56

just enjoy the peace!

Trillian, ive done that hehe then i let him do bedtime, that was an enjoyable evening!!!

nevergoogledragonbutter · 25/10/2009 19:45

I woke them all up, plonked them in bed together with DH and went out to get fish and chips before i'd had too much wine.
