Yes I did post lengthily and boringly about the Thing that bit me and necessitated lots of medication, but at least 2 of my friends have recently had similar troubles. And this is all happening within the UK and I do not recall having heard so many stories about really nasty, dangerous insect bites within the UK ever before.
So what exactly is lurking around munching on everyone?

same thing here.
Two of my kids have nasty skin infections following Thing bites.

my aunt had such a bad bite last yr she has a scar from her ankle to her thigh of weird red rash and is on medication for life, its worrying.

We were told its not the creature thats the issue but what it last landed on bit ate etc!

I was told that too but it makes me wonder what the little bastards are eating that they haven't had to eat before, because this seems to be happening so much at the moment.

crikey.

Worst bite I ever had was from a horsefly. But this sounds like something else.
