After Alexandra Burke's mimed performance on the x-factor last night, and the sheer stupidity of John and Edward being in the finals, I think the whole thing is a farse that is not designed to find new talent but is designed to find acts that fit a certain standard, to which we as the public must conform.

John and edward are ghastly individuals. But they are there purely for the amusement factor and to cause tention between the judges on the show.

I think that it's time the public took a stand and show the producers that if they make certain decisions, it could have consequences.

Thus, while I can't stand John and Edward, I think that for them to win would be highly, highly amusing, and justice in a way.

I thought Alex was miming but it was probably a good idea giving all the jigging around she was doing. She looked great though and I think she did really well.

I am 100% sure that Cheryl will mime next week after last year when she and Girl's Aloud did a live version of their song and she sounded awful.

Had the same conversation about Robbie with DH, he looked completely off his head, massive pupils and he wasn't blinking! DH reckons it was an adrenaline rush but I am not so sure....his song was rubbish as well.

John & Edward are astonishingly awful & need to go very soon. Can't believe after whining on about wanting to be taken seriously Kandy Rain came out looking like strippers (what was with the pussy cat ears one of them was wearing)

Don't think Alexandra was miming but she certainly had a lot of help with a really naff song. If this is some weird attempt to keep her away from the Leona market I really think they could at least have given the girl a decent song.

Robbie was obviously just very excited to be performing again & definitely not on anything stronger than the coffee him & Olly were going for after the show. Love, love, love Robbie. Please don't let him be taking illegal substances again (still?)
