to want John and Edward to win the x-factor?

After Alexandra Burke's mimed performance on the x-factor last night, and the sheer stupidity of John and Edward being in the finals, I think the whole thing is a farse that is not designed to find new talent but is designed to find acts that fit a certain standard, to which we as the public must conform.

John and edward are ghastly individuals. But they are there purely for the amusement factor and to cause tention between the judges on the show.

I think that it's time the public took a stand and show the producers that if they make certain decisions, it could have consequences.

Thus, while I can't stand John and Edward, I think that for them to win would be highly, highly amusing, and justice in a way.

I don't think Alex was miming- but there was definitely a backing track. All acts do it, I think, if there is some kind of dance routine, because you can't really expect a clear note out of somebody effectively doing aerobics.

And Wannabe, I take your point about Twit and Twat, but I really couldn't bear to see another second of them, so YABU

LOL at Twit and Twat

the thing I don't understand is cheryl picking all of her boys from the cast of hobbits in the lord of the rings.

Did ashley only agree to her going on if she agreed to choose the least manly men that auditioned.
It is like a small moppet army of man-child frodos.

he had the beef but he just screamed, didn't he? I didn't hear him sing

ZZZenAgain · 12/10/2009 11:45

dd is for twit and twat. She says the others are boring and she can't stand Stacey's voice

The oracle has spoken

pagwatch · 12/10/2009 11:46

I don't care if Alexandra was miming or not. She is an average girl with a good to average voice, absoloutely no stage presence and a song that Mike Batt would have dismissed as too cliche.
I think she was miming. Singing and doing that chest pumpy boob slap dance is a multi tasking step to far IMHP

ZZZenAgain · 12/10/2009 11:46

but did you like her dress?

pagwatch · 12/10/2009 11:47

the dress was good.

ZZZenAgain · 12/10/2009 11:51

there you go

RnB · 12/10/2009 11:51

I think Alexandra was live.

Robbie looked off his head

I predict Cheryl will mime next week

oh yes off his nut

wannaBe · 12/10/2009 11:56

just talking about alexandra on five live - general consensus is that she was def miming.

wannaBe · 12/10/2009 11:57

and next week they have... ... ... Whitney Hewston (can't be arsed to look up spelling sorry). Wonder if she'll be miming - bet she does.

ConFuschias · 12/10/2009 11:59

And Alexandra's song was instantly forgettable

princessmel · 12/10/2009 12:00

What about Stacey's fringe???

Alexandra's dress was nice.
Cheryls dress on sunday was better than saturdays dress by a mile.

alypaly · 12/10/2009 12:01

they are rubbish and look like a couple of richard heads

ZZZenAgain · 12/10/2009 12:01

that chest pumpy dance looks worth learning

Of course Cheryl will mime. I would

ZZZenAgain · 12/10/2009 12:01

Stacey's fringe is alright but I didn't like her belt
