To feel angry and annoyed...

I've just gone to open a brand new packet of chocolate hobnobs, and the little tab that you have to tear to open the packet is at the wrong end of the packet!
instead of it being at the top end (before the writing starts) it's at the bottom (after the writing).

So now I'm frustrated because i can't open my packet of biscuits!

do i open them at the wrong end and have to eat them all until i get to the top of the packet?
or do i peel open the glued-up end at the top?

sorry but what on earth are you on about - why can't you just open and eat from the bottom end? Will the biscuits mysteriously taste different if you eat them facing the other way?!

Or is this a joke and I'm missing the point [mystified emoticon]?

open the pack using a knife and put the biscuits in a cookie jar/ biscuits tin then it won't matter.

Eat them all quickly before anyone notices you have substandard biscuits.

I've grabbed the bull by the horns and opened the packet at the glued-up end.

i've eaten 3 already.

Nooooooooooooo! Stop right now or you will never get over it.

When confronted with this problem you MUST open the packet at the wrong end, take each biscuit out in order while turning each one over, making a pile with what is actually the last biscuit at the bottom. You will end up with a pile of biscuits the right way round, with the actual first biscuit in the packet at the top and facing the right way. You can now eat them.

If you have eaten more than 5 then the damage is irreparable. If it's under 5 you can just about divert disaster now if you follow the above instructions for the rest of them.

Switch to chocoloate digestives - much nicer!

Go all fifties retro, open up the whole pack and put them in a biscuit tin.
