I stepped in a lump of chewing gum on the bus yesterday and it get stuck on the hem of my best trousers. I've put it in the freezer overnight and just gone to pick it off now but it's not budging. It's making me feel sick too, knowing it's been in someones foul mouth. Any other tips of how I can get it out would be greatly appreciated.

Try this:

Put washing up liquid on the chewing gum (if spread in) and then add salt.

With another piece of fabric rub against the thread of the garment.
