and a "powered by fairy dust".... that you probably shouldn't be driving as you clearly are about 5 years old?

I was behind a black Nissan Micra, with all that shit on the back of it and the above slogan, and I think I saw some hideous pink ad fluffy things inside the car. And even better, she had her name on the back of the car, under the Nissan logo.

Actually she is probably a NMer or a Bountyhun.

So glad I am not the only one to giggle at a 'vulva' car.

I am so childish

FritesMenthe · 20/09/2009 12:38

I had a car with stars on. In my defence this was about 12 years ago, before you could buy such things, and they were made and put on by a Williams F1 mechanic.

maybe I will decorate my new land rover with love hearts and pink dragonflies instead of just mud?

Tidey · 20/09/2009 12:46

Flowers are less vomit-inducing than big pink Playboy bunny stickers though.

Eyeballls · 20/09/2009 12:48

Ivy, that's what I tried to say during the Baby on Board sticker debate but it didn't cut any ice with that crowd either

GiraffesAndDucksSayQuack · 20/09/2009 12:50

When I was 7 my teacher had little butterflies on her car, I thought this was WONDERFUL and wanted to be her. I still kind of like the idea of the butterflies... Butterflies have a special meaning to me, I don't suppose it makes it any less cringe worthy though.

elvislives · 20/09/2009 12:52

There must be more than one of these. I've seen an identical car to the OP and I'm the other end of the country (oh and she was driving like an idiot)

hatesponge · 20/09/2009 13:01

A couple of years ago I saw a bright pink car locally complete with the slogan 'Barbie is a Slut' in large letters. Haven't seen it for a while so am hoping the owner has had it resprayed.

In comparison, fairy stickers aren't that bad.....

moondog · 20/09/2009 13:03

rofl at 'witch thing' and moopy's dh turning up to school.

Ripeberry · 20/09/2009 13:14

What's wrong with dreamcatchers? Better than furry dice.

chegirl · 20/09/2009 20:03

HAH! you miserable feckers!

I have a very old Clio. It is silver.

It also has tons of pink butterflies on it, pink furry seat covers, diamonte scattered about the dashboard and pink furry dice.

My car, I get to do what I like to it. so Ner.

It is also very funny when DH has to borrow it. I also enjoy giving my teenage son and his mates lifts in it.

The only reason I have decorated it is because I like it. I dont do it to scream 'look at me!'. If I wanted to do that I would get a flash car. TBH I forget what it looks like most of the time until I catch someone staring and I think 'what are they looking at?'

Little girls love it. I havent had any negative comments so far and its been like it for years now. I started decorating it when I got it. DD got sick very soon after I passed my driving test and got the car. It was our car so I started adding things to it. I have carried on ever since. The butterflies are for her. Butterflies are very important to me because of her. And I really love pink.

Just to clarify - I am not a girl-woman type. And I would never have anything Playboy or sex kitteny - ick.

DoNotPressTheRedButton · 20/09/2009 20:08

At aobut 20 I had 'Girl racer' then 'the driver of this car is sexist rude and nasty.... so don't upset HER', before eventually growing up a bit LOL.

Not sure would be such a good look on my Space Wagon - needed to be accompanied by a very short skirt, certain attitude and always best on a mini IMO

BTW there's a fairy dust one here too, must be everywhere

DoNotPressTheRedButton · 20/09/2009 20:11

Chegirl (you do know me on MN under a different anme, sorry) I remember the story of your daughter and I think that's lovely.

I just presumed that the flowers/butterflies thing was some sort of crime-prevention measure as I couldn't see them being targeted by joy riders .

Each to their own eh?

bluebump · 20/09/2009 20:17

My new neighbour has a ford ka decorated with flowery stickers and various stuffed toys in it. I thought that was bad enough but her friend visited today, in another ford ka with Tinkerbell seat covers. They are in their 20's

Takver · 20/09/2009 20:17

I like the flowers & butterflies, one of our neighbours has them on her car, I think its cheerful.
Wouldn't look so good on my bike though, not enough room for 'em to stretch their wings . And I don't reckon DH would agree to them on his van!

chegirl · 20/09/2009 20:22

Well that is true funtime I never worry about my car being nicked. I parked it one day and when I returned it had gone. I was v.upset but when someone asked me if it had been stolen I told them there was no way on earth it wouldve been. I knew it had been towed (sob).

Donotpress thank you

riven its a sticker.

Confuzzeled · 20/09/2009 20:27

My mother has a new bug with flowers on. She's a great driver and she loves her car. It's her car and I don't think it's harming or offending anyone to have a few flowers on it.

How very boring life would be if we all liked the same thing

Glitterknickaz · 20/09/2009 20:30

I used to have a beaten up ancient Fiat Panda when I passed my test.

It had yellow, blue and green paint splat decals at various intervals over it, a cartoon spaceman and a 'short vehicle' sticker on the bootlid and Fido Dido stickers on the sides. I bought it like that, the two previous owners had been students (as was I when I bought it).

I loved it.

Next door has a Ford Ka (which has had the letters TIE added to the end of the model name to make her name), the powered by Fairy Dust thing on the filler cap and the inside is a really horrid shade of pink, it's not barbie, it's not baby, kind of weirdy salmon. Me no likey that.

Oh, and furry dice and a furry steering wheel cover.

AcrylicAfternoons · 20/09/2009 20:31

I know of an old red mini with big black spots all over it, with furry red seat covers with black spots on. And it's absolutely full of different little ladybird teddies.

It's been around for years - always parked in the same spot. I like it.

I like some customised cars, they remind me of cars / camper vans from the 60s and 70s with big hippy flowers / swirls on. And the mystery machine from Scooby doo.

Teddies would piss me right off though.

And don't like all that pink fluffy fairy stuff anywhere.

oldraver · 20/09/2009 20:31

There is a grey minibus covered in flowere stickers around where I live

I've also seen a green Beetle with flowers on it but the other poster in Scotland so assume she saw it up there. I wondered if it was an 'option'

4andnotout · 20/09/2009 20:36

I have a silver dihatsu hijet which is covered in pink butterflies and stars, my dp drives it and gets a few funny looks but life is too short to worry about what other people think!

Grisette · 20/09/2009 20:37

Why is it that if a car has hippy flower decals on it, Guaranteed to cut you up, or road rage you, gesticulating in a very un hippy way?

Peace and love man!
