Seriously. I haven't had a crush like this since I was about 13.

And now I've finished watching Wuthering Heights

He is just...... lickable.

IMO the most scrumptious bit of totty ever in TV costume drama was Colin Firth, coming out of the water in Pride & Predudice.

Niftyblue · 13/09/2009 22:32

God I fancy him too

Niftyblue · 13/09/2009 22:33

Look at those lips
goosebumps

DoNotBringLulu · 13/09/2009 23:12

....but he can rip my bodice

Sycamoretreeisvile · 13/09/2009 23:18

He's thick though.

MadameDefarge · 14/09/2009 08:55

Syc, I not sure we actually want to talk to him! Just, ya, know.

Sycamoretreeisvile · 14/09/2009 10:49

Oh, but it is a bit of a turn off, no?

TheFoosa · 14/09/2009 10:56

I didn't like him in WH and he reminds me a bit of Michael Portillo

Bucharest · 14/09/2009 10:58

But those lips would be all flobby and drippy.
Euuuuuuw.
I can see the Portillo similarity. (double eeeeeuw.)
It'd be like snogging a green lipped mussel.
He was just toooooooo nasty in WH, no woman would ever have fancied him. Spoilt brat oik.

MadameDefarge · 14/09/2009 12:13

hm, syc, yes, if I wanted more than a alcohol fuelled night of passion....

DoNotBringLulu · 14/09/2009 12:19

But Bucharest we fancy Heathcliff, mad, bad and dangerous to know.

Bucharest · 14/09/2009 12:20

Oh, I fancy Heathcliffe just not the green-lipped-mussel-pseudo-Heathcliffe.

pofacedandproud · 14/09/2009 12:31

Dreadful adaptation. Cathy was boss eyed and he looked like he had a bad wig on. I don't think Emily Bronte would have approved.

DoNotBringLulu · 14/09/2009 12:37

I preferred Rebecca Night, I think she would have made a better Cathy. I liked her as that Fanny character on BBC4, can't remember what it was called.

Buch, who do you think would make a better Healthcliff, then? I fancy Rufus Sewell as well.

He's not thick at ALL

I saw an interview with him when he was promoting Bronson on This Morning. He's very intelligent and very intense.

I love him. Actually love him

OP posts:
pofacedandproud · 14/09/2009 12:55

Hayley Atwell would have made a good Cathy. Sam Riley might have made a good Heathcliff, if directed well.

pofacedandproud · 14/09/2009 12:56

Actually Tom Hardy might have made a good Heathcliff, if directed well.

TheFoosa · 14/09/2009 13:02

he wasn't very good, was he?

was he Stuart in A Life Backwards? I seem to remember he was very mumbly in that

pofacedandproud · 14/09/2009 13:09

He is morphing into Jonathan Rhys Meyers. Vacuity is increasingly rewarded in television.

Bucharest · 14/09/2009 14:07

OMG- I read that last post as "he is morphing into Jonathan Ross" and I'm sitting here thinking "yup, I can see that, those lips again...." Have now got v disturbing Michael Portillo/Jonathan Ross lovechild image thing going on.

my Heathcliffe is Greg Wise 15 yrs ago in the RiffRaff element, before he got Emma'd.

pofacedandproud · 14/09/2009 15:07

LOL. Now have the image of Jonathan Ross as Heathcliff [shudder]

Yes Greg Wise good actor. He didn't seem to do a great many good parts though did he?

Nancy66 · 14/09/2009 15:17

I don't think he's thick - he is a short arse though and has done that classic short bloke thing of over pumping his body to make up for lack of stature.

coolma · 14/09/2009 15:22

I work at the place 'Stuart - A life Backwards' was based at - and my office is the very room in the first shot

SerendipitousHarlot · 14/09/2009 15:52

I'm just reading Stuart-A Life Backwards at the moment.

He's pumped his body for Bronson. I think he looks horrible, but normally....
