to think people take thread titles too seriously sometimes?

When people write about an angry moment/argument they've had, often the thread title is something like "AIBU to want to slap this woman?" You can guarantee that some of the replies will be "You're right to be angry, but you should never be violent. How would your children feel?"
Surely it's normally clear that the OP isn't actually going to BE violent?

Someone took me to task for saying 'boatbuying bastards' the other day . You have to wonder.

I think there is a lack of sense of humour amongst some mners, but I think it's balanced by the acerbic wit of others. Sometimes.
