I know,i know,i need to get a life but its a very wet afternoon here so we are stuck indoors & have been watching nick jr educational programmes.

Have you ever noticed the amount of crap dubbed voiceover adverts?

Especially hate the vanish in your wash one.

hate it - especially the make up/ hair one that use a young teeneage girl and dub over a mature womans voice. Creepy have you noticed that.

PM73 · 02/09/2009 16:24

No i havent noticed that one but it sounds awful.

Have you seen the teenage boy in his room & 'Mum' comes in & says this room stinks & sprays that awful stinking febreze everywhere.

annoys me no end. Cillit bang especially. But that one would annoy me in english.

oldraver · 02/09/2009 17:49

I refuse to buy a product that has been dubbed. I think if a manufacturer is too lazy to make an advert specifically for the British market then its not getting my business. The American ones that dont even bother to change the accent annoy me as well

ProfYaffle · 02/09/2009 17:51

Oh don't, my dh is obsessed with dubbed ads and quite obsessive in his hatred of them.

LedodgyDailyMailstinksofpoo · 02/09/2009 17:52

The worst one atm is that toilet air freshner one where the dubbed boy wants to poo at his friends house.

LIZS · 02/09/2009 17:53

like "Mummy I want to poo in Paul's toilet" !

LedodgyDailyMailstinksofpoo · 02/09/2009 17:53

Yes! GRRRRRRRR

lucky1979 · 02/09/2009 18:15

I despise that advert and won't buy the product on principle.

Must be working for someone I guess as it's been running for ages - same as Kerry Katona for Iceland. I have no idea who though!

southeastastra · 02/09/2009 18:16

no worse one is 'mr muscle to the rescue' meant to be said by small boy, but obviously dubbed by janet krankie type

famishedass · 02/09/2009 18:24

no, the worse one is the "Bio Oil" advert and the patronising dubbed rubbish the woman comes out with. Makes me want to blast a shotgun right at the telly
