YANBU - but I love holidays. Yesterday dh pointed out that there are only two weeks left and I was in quite a panic at the thought of getting back on the treadmill.

I need to go back to school, to start loosing weight again! I've eaten far too much, because I can pick all day here. If I'm at work, I'm darting all over the place and don't have access to a fridge every 5 mins!!

The first week was hell and I was ready to Freecycle both boys.

I think they needed time to readjust to each other and now we are having a ball!

Swimming (private pool at the gym today!)

Soft play

Lots of different parks this summer

Wigwamming in Herefordshire

Junk modelling

We are having a really good time. Nephew has been here all week and they have been really great. Next week I might be ready to ebay them again!

You should move to Scotladn, where the children are all safely back in scool now .

Though they do break up in June, so it's the same difference, you just go mad a little earlier in the summer.

I love the holidays but today I'm having one of those days where I just want a bit of peace and quiet.

Thankfully the DC got an invite from another family so I now have 2 hours to recharge my batteries.

I'm dreading the return to school as I hate the mornings of "Hurry up and get dressed/eat your breakfast/brush your teeth...." ad infinitum

YABU! I work in a school so I get all the holidays off too, and being a naturally lazy person I love, love, love being at home! Even if the DD's are being a pain I would rather be at home than work anyday. Not having to rush in the mornings, not getting dressed at all if we can't be bothered, daytime TV, taking all day to do chores rather than rushing around after work.

And when we go back to school in 2 weeks it is only 7 weeks until half term, then another 7 til Christmas hols, yay!

I've had a lovely summer holidays this year. It seems to have gone really quickly, maybe because I worked p/t for the first two weeks, so now I'm enjoying it more? But no, YANBU, we've had bad days too!

OK up until last week, but getting very fed up with teenagers using house as B+B. REFUSE to do school work till next Monday, so the pressure of leaving stuff till next week + teenage hordes = ready to go back to work!!!!

Yes please and DD is only 3.5 but in our defence, we both work from home and although we have a lovely girl who looks after them she is struggling to cope with the concept that we are in the house but can't play with her.

oh fivegomadindorset it must be hard working from home with your lo running around , my dd (3.7) has just started pre-school so when ds goes back to school soon this will be my first time in 10yrs to have the mornings to myself , haven't got a clue what i will do with my free time ,
